Educational Advising

The Turkish Fulbright Commission is an official institution which provides free and objective educational advising to students who wish to study in the United States.

The Educational Advising Unit of our Commission is responsible for advising students. This unit has two main activities. One activity is to introduce our Commission’s Grants to different levels and fields all around Turkey and the second activity is to provide advising service to those who wish to study in the U.S.A. for different purposes.

According to the annual Open Doors report published by the Institute of International Education, there were 10,724 Turkish students studying in the U.S.A. in 2014-2015 academic year. With this number, Turkey is number 13 in the world and number 2 in Europe.

Students wishing to study in the U.S.A. can contact our Educational Advisers in the Commission’s Ankara Head Office and Istanbul Branch Office via phone or e-mail to make an appointment for a meeting. During these meetings, students are able to receive free and objective advising on school searches, standardized tests, and the application process in general.
