Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program
The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program is designed for American scholars and professionals who would like to come to Turkey to lecture and/or conduct research in a wide variety of academic and professional fields. There are two types of awards within the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program in Turkey: Senior Lecturer awards in which American scholars/professionals lecture at a Turkish university. Senior Researcher awards which support a scholar/professional’s conducting of research in coordination with a Turkish host university or other relevant sponsoring institution.
In 2017-2018 academic year, six U.S. Scholars have been awarded Fulbright Grants to Turkey to teach and conduct research at universities and research centers in Ankara, Bursa, Eskişehir, İstanbul and Muğla.
The Turkish Fulbright Commission awards are given for the proceeding academic year. The deadline for U.S. Scholars to submit their applications for the 2018-2019 academic year was August 1, 2017.
The application process for the 2019-2020 academic year will start in February 2018. U.S. Scholars should start their application through the Embark Online Application Platform. The Embark Online Application Platform will open in February 2018.
